Rates

OK,

I was blocking rooms for the weekend of April 20-21st and discovered that the best room rates, lower than AAA or AARP, were still around $90-100. There are contracts in the mail for 20 rooms at the Wingate Inn Wilmington-Airport (around $90 for group rates) (5126 Market St., Wilmington 28405-3445)(~10min from the reception), with more rooms negotiable, and 20 rooms at the Jameson Inn (just under $100 for group rates) (5102 Dunlea Ct., Wilmington 28405-3476)(also about 10min. away from the reception). Some family of mine have already booked at the Hilton-Wilmington Riverside (around 15-20 min. away from the reception site), and the Hampton Inn-Medical Park (around 15-20 min. away from the reception site). I'm still waiting for a quote for 3 others, but regardless, I figured I'd give you guys a head start. Sometimes internet specials are the way to save. Actually, they are considerably cheaper than the group rates the motels were willing to give me. So, I actually advise you guys to book early, and use the lower cost internet specials on any of the travel sites you enjoy using. Invitations will be going out soon, but that doesn't mean you have to wait to book the motel.

I'll post a map soon.

92 Days left!
See the comet in the sky? Believe it or not, it's what it really looks like. Dust from the tail is still visible in un-lightpolluted areas of our Northern Hemisphere. Nope, it is not headed our way, but away. Above, is the view from New Zealand, of comet McNaught. Nope, not wedding info, but it is a cool picture, huh?!!!

99 DAYS LEFT!!!

Thursday, January 11, 2007

So, you may be wondering about the wedding. Just in case we haven't told you yet, it'll be back in Castle Hayne, on April 21st of this 2007 (not the next one :) )

Please keep us in your prayers!

So many folks have already helped us out. It makes one humble, and proud, to be a part of such a wonderful family, and a community of friends.

Here is a picture of us from a visit to Beufort, SC in July 2004, courtesy of Uncle Bruce! Yep, it's 2007, but it's such a good picture, I figured you'd love to see it! ;)

First Engagement Post

Here is a repeat of the original engagement announcement from September. The actual engagement happened on September 24, 2006 after church. There was a funny story associated with it.

Hello gals and guys,

Jenn, believe it or not (my brother had to verify it with both of us),
accepted my invitation to be my wife. Woooooooooooooo,
Woooooooooooooooooooooo, Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! I'm guessing
that some of you may have fallen backwards into your cubes, or out of
whatever chair you happened to be sitting in, so I'll wait a second before
continuing..................................................................................................................
;)

It happened after Mass, at St. Michael's, last night. I'm still really
excited. My stomach has been nervous since late last week. I'm wondering,
does it ever get to feeling normal?

As usual, a funny story is associated with this particular event! Let's
just say that best laid plans.................I'll let you know about it
when I speak/email with you next. Let's say it's an Anthony story. Also,
Jenn didn't believe me, either, at first. I had to tell her,
".......Really, I'm asking you to be my wife. See, I have the ring right
here!" I guess that now you guys have a bit of time to talk her out of it,
before the wedding day! ;)

I hope everyone is well. Feel free to email us!

Anthony
